Sofia Vergara and I Agree: This Is the Coolest Way to Wear Your Jeans

I do not understand what you usually do before a significant outing, however for the stars attending the 2024 Oscars this previous weekend, I’m certain there was a great deal of preparation included. Facials! Hair cuts! Hair treatments! You call it, they most likely do it to look the absolute best from every angle on the red carpet. And while I’m definitely curious about what the A-listers do to get in great shape, I’m just as much into what they wear for said pre-event outings. For Sofia Vergara, it’s an easy attire I actually simply used this past weekend, too.

Before Vergara walked the 2024 Oscars red carpet in that cutout, bow-adorned, black taffeta gown with a plunging neckline and flared mermaid skirt, she was identified in something extremely more subtle the day prior: denims and a black sweatshirt. Interestingly enough, I wore that exact very same outfit formula on Saturday and Sunday, making me realize the two-piece combo is a total must-try for spring. Because it’s simple, looks elevated however is comfy, and can be styled in numerous methods, depending on the look you’re going for.

Vergara paired the reliable knit, a staple you can wear now and in two months, with wide-leg, medium-wash jeans that she– wait for it– cuffed at the hem. I did the exact same thing with my slightly-too-long-blues, and let me tell you, the folded over hem quickly makes your jeans look 10-times cooler. It’s simply a win-win method of using your go-to denims.

Vergara being Vergara wore her attire with sky-high, break-your-ankle platform heels that I personally would never ever wear; instead, I styled my cuffed jeans with white sneakers, but TBH, our contrasting shoe pairings show simply how flexible the cuffed-jeans-and-a-black-sweater combination are. Both look terrific, and both are definitely worth experimenting with on your own.

Get comfy this spring by looking for some of my go-to black sweaters and jeans below. (Cuffing the hem is optional, though extremely encouraged.).
