Halsey Combined a Slinky Futuristic Dress With a Grandmacore Staple at Paco Rabanne

It is difficult to combine two seemingly diverse ages when you throw up a clothing, but Halsey did precisely that when they got here to take in Paco Rabanne’s Paris Fashion Week runway show. The superstar vocalist used a liquid-metal chainmail gown– among the late designer’s signatures– but tempered the futuristic appearance with a grandma-beloved design swerve: a head scarf.

Halsey’s dress draped throughout their body, skimming every curve and contour (something Rabanne did constantly with his styles and present designer Julien Dossena continues), and while that upped the sexual magnetism to astronomic levels, the addition of the headscarf grounded the look and aligned it with a lot of the patterns that have emerged from the previous Fashion Month.

On Instagram, Halsey gave a close-up look at their makeup, which included a sparkling tear design under one eye.

“An amazing tear for @pacorabanne – thank you for having me,” they wrote alongside the photos.
Other styles on the runway were likewise sexed up, with different tops that appeared like complex metal body appliqués paired with streaming metallic skirts. Dossena also referenced Catholicism with a Sacred Heart style, surrealism with a dress that appeared like a set of lips, and admired Rabanne’s house codes with gold and silver developments.
Halsey’s appearance at the show continues their Parisian fashion tour, which also consisted of a stop at Pressiat’s discussion earlier this week.
